About me

Torre Marie Lee aka Chef-Ria

“God must have an interesting sense of humor”.

That was my response to the Doctor that walked into my

Hospital room, the morning after I died. He stood there staring at me for a long time, then he said, “I can’t believe what I’m seeing…. you standing there next to your bed after what happened to you yesterday”.

I have reflected on that moment over and over. Yes, How am I so blessed? What can I do to show I am grateful to be here? So, one thing I know and love is cooking and cookbooks so I thought..I have so many Simple, Easy to Cook Classic recipes, I’ll put together a cook book to give to all my friends & family. Something they can have and remember me by. Something to share a good part of my life, with all the recipes I have because of others sharing with me.

I was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Adopted at the age of two which was a profound blessing and long story short, I changed my name from Barbara to Torre, which was also a wonderful blessing. I’ve had a full life of expression by competitively and professionally, playing music, dancing and then skating in Ice Capades. Throughout my life I have dressed in costume portraying many different characters, at all kinds of events and venues. That may have a lot to do with why I wanted everyone to have some added fun with the colorful cartoon characters helping us in this book.

I represent incredible Professional Speakers and Entertainers with my business.. Four Seasons Speakers. I am honored for the last 25 years to be a licensed Massage Therapist and a Paralegal for over 15 years. This last year has been a challenge physically and emotionally, but this book has been such fun and helpful in my recovery along with all the blessings that are beyond measure like being mother to my son Chris and partner to Cowboy Lynn and all my Precious Friends.
